About MeLet Me Introduce Myself. |
||
Hello. My name is Mike Brown and I am a former middle school school teacher, small business owner and advertising sales representative. I spent the last 14 years of my educational career teaching web design, computer applications and technology for Downey Unified School District in Downey, California. I started the daily video broadcast program at West Middle School which was adopted district-wide at all middle schools. I was Technology Teacher Specialist for the last six years of my educational career. In that position I taught web design, video production and podcasting to teachers who in turn built and maintained their own web sites. I also worked with teachers on using technology to deliver curriculum to their students. My last two years as a Teacher Specialist were spent as a member of the Student Information System Implementation Team, where I was responsible for training all end users and creating all training materials.
I selected the Sierraview Web Creations name because my wife and I have a gorgeous view of the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains from our home in Ridgecrest, California. On a personal note, I enjoy hiking, gardening, reading and traveling.
